Postini Connectors makes it simple to enable Postini Web Security for your organization, whatever your network configuration. The Connectors facilitate the rapid deployment of the services and add local network and user granularity to policy application and reporting. Users behind both static and dynamic IPs are able to connect to the managed services through the Connectors, thereby broadening the coverage of the security services to all areas of your business.
The Connector is a single piece of optimized Java code which is installed only once and will give the administrator full granularity of the service down to individual user level if required. User privileges can then be setup by means of the Postini console to set policy, these can be linked in with network user/computer directories, such as Active Directory.
